lickingpants

The primary goal of the lickingpants design was to showcase the artwork in an accessible manner.

To accomplish this goal I created a design that acted as a frame drawing more attention to its contents than itself. I implemented a simple CSS / XHTML template and gloabl and local navigation systems.

One of main attractions lickingpants wanted to draw attention to was the jewelry collections, which would need to be easily updated to accommodate changes in pricing, adding items to a collection, or the addition of an entirely new collection.

To facilitate this Iused dynamic database-driven technologies. I created a MySQL database to store information about each collection, and all of the its pieces, and then created a page to display the data. I wrote SQL statements (which are invoked through testing the values of query strings) to pull information out of the database to populate the data on the page. I repeated this process for the art collections.
